How many times do you try before you give up? This is the question that little Plink considers after failing to fall repeatedly. This story helps 3 to 8 year old children understand that learning to do things is not always easy and sometimes it takes the support and love of others to succeed.I'm excited to be working with Character Publishing and I love the illustrations that Lisa Griffin created for my book.

I love the idea that the problem for the rain drop is that he can't fall. For most of us, falling is the problem. It really requires the reader to see things from a different perspective. What a great exercise for young readers!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that the rain drop has difficulty with something that comes completely naturally to ALL the other raindrops. Who would ever think that a raindrop couldn't fall? Works so well for kids (ha, and adults!) who have difficulty with things that are totally basic for others. Looking forward to a good read with my kids! Great job, Kirsti!
